'"Maybe I have lived too long" says Herman Hertzberger in The Proof of the Pudding, a film portrait of the 90-year-old architect. He says it after yet another futile conversation about renovating the headquarters of insurance company Centraal Beheer in Apeldoorn. And by this he means: I am so old that my oeuvre will disappear before I do. This tragedy is accurately portrayed in the film about one of the Netherlands' most influential post-war architects.'
